Saugerties, NY – William "Bill" Mower died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at home. He was 80 years old.

Born January 29, 1938 in Veteran, NY, he was the son of Louis and Mary "Maisy" Mower.
On November 24, 1962 he married Noreen J. Schultz.

A veteran of the US Air Force, he served from 1955 until 1959. He was employed at Northeast Solite until his retirement in 1984. He was also a life member of the Centerville Fire Company. Bill loved his family immensely and seemed to find the fountain of youth when the great- grandchildren were visiting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Steven Mower of Saugerties, Penny Chisholm and her husband Herbert of High Point, NC, and Stacy Reichlin and her husband Stanley of Long Island; a sister Patricia Peckovitch of Cementon, NY; five grandchildren (Javeir, Evan [Jessica], Justin, Elliott, & Tara) and seven great-grandchildren: (Jayla, Zaniah, Dustin, Jakobe, Jayanna, Zane, & Kori) and a host of nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his infant son, Shane Michael and two sisters, Joan Whitaker and Elizabeth Mower; and by his brother Raymond Mower.

A funeral service will be celebrated 11:00am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street, Saugerties, NY. Bill's Son-in-law, Herbert Chisholm, will officiate. Cremation will be private and interment with full military honors will take place in Blue Mountain Cemetery at a future date. Friends may call at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00am.
