Obituary

OBITUARY Saugerties ? William M. Jones, 77 died August 30th, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 9, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Saugerties the past 15 years in part ownership with his sister, Victoria Hurttlen and his brother-in-law, Norman Hurttlen. He worked for many years as a train dispatcher for the NYC Subway system; mostly at Grand Central Station. In addition, he was an avid and skilled gamesman having earned the rank of Master Rating from the United States Chess Federation. He was a loving brother to Victoria Hurttlen and Maggie Underwood of Middletown, NJ; and loving brother-in-law to Norman Hurttlen. He is also survived by a niece, Peggy Delaney of Warren VT; two nephews, John Underwood of Elizabeth NJ and Richard Underwood of Jersey City NJ; several grand nieces and nephews; and he will be fondly remembered by many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Theresa Jones, and recently by his brother-in-law, John Underwood. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Rev. James Alley, Pastor of Katsbaan Reformed Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Katsbaan Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
