Saugerties - Teresa Pellegri died Saturday, October 29, 2022 at TenBroeck Commons in Lake Katrine surrounded by family. She was 91 years old.

Born May 29, 1931 in Parma, Italy, she was the daughter of Antonio Canuti and Lucia Pellegri, one of 16 children. On March 1, 1949, she married Bruno Pellegri, who pre-deceased her on February 25, 2018. Together with her husband and children, she emigrated to the United States in 1967. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's in Glasco.

Her beautiful legacy was one of generosity. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and showed her love through sharing her wisdom and cooking for her family and friends. These were her passions in life.

Survivors include four children, Gianfranco Pellegri and his wife Maria Teresa, Gina Maestri and her husband Celeste "Charlie", Bruna Biolzi and her husband Marco, and John Pellegri and his wife Angela; eleven grandchildren, Gianfranco Jr. & his wife Gina, Michelle Buono & her husband Matthew, Christine Tarasek & her husband Matthew, Alessandro Maestri & his wife Tenaya, Stefano Maestri & his wife Cathy, Gabriele Maestri & his wife Vilma; Derrick Biolzi & his wife Elisa, Shawn Biolzi & his wife Romina, Natasha Pellegrini & her husband Daniele, Nicholas Pellegri, and Johnny Pellegri; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings Domenico, Nella and Alda.

She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. A great wife, mother, and Nonna who will always be remembered as the family matriarch. Her big heart and warmth was felt by anyone who spent time with her, and she will be missed by all. Her family is comforted by the thought that she is reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, Bruno.

A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph's Church in Glasco, where a 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow immediately in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. Friends
