OBITUARY Saugerties, NY – Shirley A Hooker, formerly of Apple Tree Dr., died Saturday October 20, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. She was 77 years old. Born August 6, 1935 in Kingston, she was the daughter of Ralph and Caroline Albright Williams. On October 26, 1958 she married George Hooker who pre-deceased her in 1980. A member of their Quarter Century Club, she retired from IBM in 1991and was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow. For many years she bowled in the evening leagues in Saugerties. She and her husband both enjoyed watching both bowling and golf on television. Shirley enjoyed traveling to places such as Europe, Alaska and Disney World and particularly cruises. She also enjoyed visiting local casinos with her friends. Survivors include two daughters, Lynne Schmidt and her husband David, and Lori Degasperis; four grandchildren, Heather and Meagan Schmidt, Joey Degasperis, and Justin Fawcett; her brother, Ralph Williams and his wife Roseann; and her sister, Carolyn Enright. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights in Saugerties, NY. Friends may call Monday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
