OBITUARY Saugerties ? S. Paul Parker died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Benedictiine Hospital in Kingston. He was 80 years old. Born June 3, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Sigmund and Sophie Florek Parker. On September 5, 1959 he married the former Liz McKeon. A veteran of the Korean War, he served four years in the US Air Force. He was retired from the rail road where he worked as a computer technician. An honorable man and loving father, he built the family home in Saugerties himself. He enjoyed time with his family particularly time spent at the favorite family vacation destination in Ocean City MD. He was an avid golfer and loved gardening around the home. He was also a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist in Centerville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Susan Hungershafer of Albany, Melanie Germain of Massachusetts, Kristen Boyark of Clifton Park, Jennifer Nadeau of Vermont and Bethany Swartz of Vernon, NJ; two sons, Joseph Parker of Clifton Park and John Parker of Clayton, NC; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Kerry Parker and his brother Robert Parker. A Funeral procession will form 10:15 AM Friday, February 8, 2005 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., and then proceed to St. John the Evangelist Parish Center in Centerville, where an 11:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Fr. William Woodruff, Pastor of St. John the Evangelist will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in Blue Mt. Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
