Saugerties – Ruth Linzey died Friday September 11, 2015 at Tenbroeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 93 years old.

She was born September 10, 1922 in Alsen, NY, the daughter of George and Mary Laymen Nash. Her husband, Irving Linzey whom she married on September 18, 1938, died on May 12, 1994.

Ruth had been employed by FL Russell Corp and Ferroxcube. She had been an avid reader and gardener, enjoyed cooking and baking. Always a lover of the outdoors she often took nature walks and spent time birdwatching and tending to her hummingbird feeders. Prior to her husband's death they spent time together hunting, fishing, and camping.

Surviviors include 8 children, Robert Linzey, Irving Linzey, Gerald Linzey, Cathy Linzey Wilson, Linda Wangberg, Frank Linzey, Betty Valk and Jamie Linzey; 22 grandchildren; an many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by 3 sisters Sarah Sauerzoph, Katherine Herstich, and Dotty Mills; and by her brother Louis Nash.
