Saugerties – Robert C. Hoy died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Tenbroeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 80 years old.

Born December 16, 1935 in New York City, he was the son of Charles and Esther Johnson Hoy. He was pre-deceased by his wife Maureen on June 24, 2013. Having served in the US Marine Corps from 1953 until 1961, he was a member of Lamouree-Hackett Post #72 American Legion in Saugerties. Bob was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Centerville. He was also a member of the Saugerties Knights of Columbus #4536 where he was a Past Grand Knight, a Former District Deputy and Past Faithfull Navigator of the Fourth Degree Assembly.

Surviving family members include; Michael Hoy, Betty Budik, Dawn Budik, Rebecca Eusepi, Barbra Budik, Linda Brown, Kathy Sudol, Patty McVeigh, Betty Cusack, Michael Sudol, Joanie Sudol and Bob Sudol.

A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. John the Evangelist Parish Center in Centerville, where a 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with full military honors follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
