Saugerties – Richard L. Warr died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at home. He was 71 years old.

Born July 24, 1945 at St. Barabas Hospital in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Everett and Martha Warr. His wife, Karen died July 18, 2005. He graduated from Hunterdon Regional High School and Industrial Management Institute.

A retired machinist from LaDolce Machinery, he held a bachelor's degree in business. His passion was automobiles both driving and working on them. Green Acres was a thriving small engine repair shop that he operated in Blue Mountain. He was also a member of the Saugerties Elks club.

Survivors include four children Tammy Drost of Saugerties, Richard Warr Jr. and his wife Stacy of Kerhonkson, Jon Warr of Saugerties, and Kellie Warr; his grandchildren Cody and Kendall Drost; and his siblings Frank Warr, Roger Warr, and Gail Braun. In addition to his wife he was pre-deceased by his sister Kathy Abbiate.

A Funeral Service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
