Glasco – Ralph Grimaldi died peacefully, Saturday, October 8, 2016, with his family by his side, in his home. He was 88 years old.

Born January 16, 1928 in S,Stefano Di Rogliano, Italy, he was the son of Giuseppe and Maria Concetta. He married the former Rachel Carlino on May 5, 1957.

He is survived by two sons, Ralph Grimaldi and his wife Gina of Glasco and Joseph Grimaldi and his wife Lori of Saugerties; two grandsons, Joseph Jr. and Jake Grimaldi; his sister, Rosetta Bocchimuzzo of Glasco; his sister, Giovanna Grimaldi of Italy; his nephews Franco Bocchimuzzo and his wife Sandy, Sal Bocchimuzzo and his wife Carolyn, and several other nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.

He was pre-deceased by his brother, Mario of Italy; his brother, Antonio of Italy; his sister, Enes Felpo of Italy; and his brother-in-law, Frank Bocchimuzzo.

He immigrated to the United States in 1945 and settled in the Glasco area where he met and married the love of his life. He worked as a mason, first with his partner Pete Fondino, as Fondino and Grimaldi and later on his own as Ralph Grimaldi Masonry. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Glasco. He enjoyed family time, family dinners and an occasional pizza out. For recreation he enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, wine making and weekends watching his horse races.

A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM, Thursday at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church Hall in Glasco where a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
