Philece Kopercinski, 69, of Saugerties passed away, after a courageous battle with leukemia, at home surrounded by family on September 10th, 2025. Born August 2nd, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (Ancona) Salierno.
Philece was born and raised in Queens. She worked as a Meat Wrapper at Dan's Supreme, a profession she was very proud of. When she moved to Saugerties 25 years ago, she worked for Lachmann's Pastry Shop and then the nonprofit United Cerebral Palsy. She also became an unofficial member of the Saxton Fire Company.
More than anything, Philece loved family. She was considered a second grandparent to all her many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Philece is survived by her son, Michael Rocco Stanly Kopercinski and her siblings: Danny Salierno and his wife Jeanine, Maria-Ann Couret and her husband Alex, Linda-Ann Stoner and her husband George, Antoinette Salierno, and Rocco Salierno Jr. and his wife Ivy. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and Kilo her canine couch companion also survive.
In addition to her parents, Philece was predeceased by her husband Michael Dennis Kopercinski.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties. Cremation will follow. Friends may call Saturday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc
