Catskill, NY – Paulann Ritchie-Hillje died after a long illness at home on Monday, November 21, 2002 surrounded by her family. She was 71 years old.

Born May 26, 1951, in Pompton Lakes, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Ritchie, Sr. and the late Paula Lngarzo. On June 6, 2005, she married August "Augie" Hillje who pre-deceased her on January 19, 2018.

She retired from Saugerties Central Schools where she served and Head Custodian of the Mount Marion School. Earlier in life, she had worked for many years at the Main Street Restaurant and VanEtten's Stationery Store. An avid outdoors person, hunting and landscaping were favorite past times; as well as riding her Can-AM and being with her friends. She was also social member of the Saxton Fire Co. Inc.

Survivors include her son Frank J. Ferraro III (Laura Lee); grandsons Matthew Ferraro (Kristina) and Dorian Ferraro; her granddaughter Johanna Ferraro (Taylor); her great-granddaughter Emma Claire Ferraro; her sister Donna (John) Sangi of South Carolina; her brothers Nardy Ritchie (Carol deceased) of Glasco, Bernard Richie Jr. (Stella) of Las Vegas; many nieces and nephews. Also left behind are her forever friend Tammy Vardy (Mark), many other friends along the way, and her beloved dogs Harley and Sadie Mae.
