Paul V. Noble, of Saugerties, New York passed away on June 4, 2022 after an over twenty year battle with cancer. He was born in Kingston, New York in June 1943 to Daniel V. Noble and Verna Pearson Noble. After his retirement in 2006, he lived with his wife Regina for much of the year in their retirement home which they built in Gulf Cove, on Florida's west coast, before returning to New York to pursue further medical treatment.
In addition to his wife Regina, he is survived by his children Christopher Noble and Jessica Noble McCaffery and her husband Brian; his step-children, Maureen Nixon and her husband Adam, John McManus and his wife Joy, Margaret Hange and her husband Michael, Daniel McManus and his wife Julie, and Kateri Hooper and her husband Kirk; his grandson Beckett; his step grandchildren Alex, Kyle, Ryan, Erica, Amanda, Jason, Tyler, Amelia, Ainslee, Jarod, Conor, Morgan, John Michael, and Emily: and his sister Pamela Fondino Carroll. He was pre-deceased by his step-son Kevin McManus and his sisters Ann Michaels and Karen Noble.
Paul was educated in the public schools of Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1961. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree through SUNY Brockport and the University of the State of New York. He continued his education in advanced degree programs at Adelphi University School of Social Work and Policy Analysis at Empire State College. He was employed at Wiltwyck School for Boys and the Children's Home of Kinston for twenty years, where he progressed through several advancements to Director of Residential Care. He was subsequently employed as a Probation Officer for Ulster County as the Intensive Supervision Officer, during which time he served as consultant to the local Parole Commission and was an adjunct professor at Ulster County Community College in the Criminal Justice Department. Paul retired after twenty years of service to Ulster County as Director of the Ulster County Community Corrections Department.
A procession will form 9:45 Friday, June 10, 2022 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snow where a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery in Barclay Heights.
