Saugerties – Parick J. Harrington, Sr. died Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Pines in Catskill. He was 85 years old.

Born July 23, 1935 in the Bronx, he was the son of the late James Harrington and the late Ellen Carrig Harrington. His wife of 47 years, Anna VanWagner Harrington, pre-deceased him on April 4, 2012. He served in the US Navy from 1953 through 1957.

Over the years he held many positions in the area including a machinist at Rotron an Ladolce Machinery, he operated a repair and gas station on Ulster Avenue and for many years was an insurance broker for the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Saugerties Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree, the Saugerties American Legion and the Saugerties Senior Lunch Program.

In his spare time he hunted, fished and camped; he enjoyed traveling particularly to Maine and Ireland. Woodworking and motorcycles were passions having spent time racing motorcycles as well. An avid NY Giants fan who also loved animals, particularly his pet dogs.

Survivors include his children Laurie Wesley and her husband Charlie of Ruby, Patrick and his fiance' Amanda Kain of Saugerties, Tonia Brown of Winston-Salem NC; his grandson Patrick; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth "Bella", Mya, and Saphira. In addition to his wife he was pre-deceased by his daughter Mary Harrington; his granddaughter Kristen Brown; his brother John Harrington and sister-in-law Cathy Henchy Harrington.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Cremation will follow and interment will take place in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
