Obituary

Pamela Jean Trincellito Murphy, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in West Saugerties on May 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bayshore, Long Island, Pam moved to Saugerties with her family in 1972, where she not only made lasting memories but also left an indelible
mark on the community, touching countless lives.

Pam is survived by her devoted husband of forty-three years, John Murphy, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her role as a mother was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind her beloved daughter, Jennifer Murphy Wicke, son-in-law, Michael Wicke, and granddaughter, Sasha, who were the light of her life. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Barbara Covitz Trincellito, and remembered with love alongside her late father, Robert Trincellito.

Pam is also survived by her brother, Robert Trincellito (Kim), sisters, Karen Trincellito, Gina Trincellito Pellegri (Giannino), and Elizabeth Trincellito Stark (Jason), as well as her niece Olivia and nephews Matthew, Robert, Xavier, JR, Miles, and Eric. She leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

During her career, Pam demonstrated unwavering dedication to excellence. She began her professional journey at IBM. Later, she transitioned to a role as the superintendent's secretary, serving Saugerties Central Schools with distinction until her retirement in 2021. Her commitment to her work and colleagues left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Beyond her professional achievements, Pam's true joy came from spending time with her family, tending to her cherished chickens, and pursuing her hobbies. An avid quilter and puzzle enthusiast, she found solace and creativity in her craft, leaving behind beautiful works of art that will be cherished for generations to come. Spending summers on Cape Cod with her family was where she was happiest and most content.

Pamela's warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and touched. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pamela's memory to The Andrew Mullen Scholarship or Hudson Valley
Hospice.
