Saugerties – Norma D. Kaminski, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Great-Grandmother, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley Broadway. She was 89 years old.
Born February 3, 1927 in Valhalla, NY, she was the daughter of Gustavo and Clara Louise (Fredheim) Johnson. On November 9, 1946, she married her husband of 51 years, Bernard Kaminski who died January 18, 1998.
An avid artist and painter, she was a member of the Ulster County Artist Association. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and attending Craft Fairs. In addition to being a seamstress for many years in various local garment factories, she spent many years assisting her husband who was the care taker of Seamon Park. Her most value time was spent with her family and loved ones
Survivors include four children, Alex Kaminski of Kingston, Lorraine Mills of Malden, Patricia McDonald of Kingston and Rosemarie Kennedy of Gilroy, CA; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Inurnment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Wednesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
