Saugerties – Nancy "Jill" Olson died peacefully, Sunday, November 12, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was 75 years old.

Born July 1, 1948 in Topeka, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Frank Johnson and the late Maxine Stevenson. Jill met her soulmate Stephen Olson on a blind date and they later married on May 28, 1966 and shortly after moved to New York where they still reside today.

She retired from First Student in Saugerties as a School Bus Driver and few of her favorite jobs prior were the cafeteria manager at Cortina Valley Ski Resort and the bear booth attendant at the Catskill Game Farm.

She was also a member of the Woodstock American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to travel and camp, she was an avid birdwatcher. She loved her rescue dogs and had an affinity for any
animal in need that crossed her path.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughters, Kristine Cohen and her husband Martin in New Windsor, NY, and Kathy Opperman and her husband Alan in Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Stephen, Amber, Courtney, Rebekah, and Anikah; her great-granddaughter Ava; and her brother Jerry Johnson and his wife Janet. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her brother Jack Johnson.
