Glasco – Michele "Mike" Tagliafierro died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at home surrounded by his family following a long illness. He was 84 years old.

Born June 12, 1933 in Amorosi, Italy, he was the son of Domenico and Filomena (Madonna) Tagliafierro. He married his loving wife, Anna (DiPaola) of more than 54 years on January 27, 1963, and then immigrated to the United States in May of 1963.

A barber by trade he was the proprietor of the 9W Carwash and Barber Shop. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Glasco.

In addition to his wife, survivors include seven children, Michael Tagliafierro and his wife Maureen, Maria Tagliafierro, Helena DiBella and her husband Renato, Dennis Tagliafierro, Letizia Tagliafierro, Dominic Tagliafierro and his wife Angela, and Mario Tagliafierro and his wife Natasha; his brother Salvatore from Australia; his brother-in-law Flaviano DiBlasio; his sisters-in-law Ester and Ermalinda. Mike has seven grandchildren; Michael Angelo, Marco, Michela, Johnpaul, Michael Joseph, Marina, Sophia, as well as many nephews, nieces, and God children. And many nieces and nephews.

Mike's family included Anna's brothers, sisters and their spouses who he deeply loved, Peter DiPaola (Carol), Maria Costello (Fred), Josephine Nardone (Alberico), Carmen Saracco (Fernando), Maria Pia Saracco (Joseph), Angelo DiPaola (Marine), Rosalba Prizzia (John).

He was pre-deceased by five siblings, Carmine, Antonio, Mario, Francesco, and Anna.

A funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church in Glasco where a 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc
