Saugerties – Michaeline "Mickie" V. Porto died Wednesday July 27, 2022 at Woodland Pond at New Paltz following a brief illness. She was 83 years old.

Born October 1, 1938 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Carmen Gramoglia and the late Sabina "Sophie" Mechecka Gramoglia. On November 25, 1961, she married her husband, John A. Porto who pre-deceased her on October 31, 2006.

A graduate of Mildred Elley School of Business, she first worked at Lehigh Cement Company as a secretary. Mickie eventually found her way to the Kingston City Court where she retired as the Chief Clerk after many years of service. A longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's in Glasco, she also served many years as the Secretary of the Glasco Fire Company Auxiliary, leaving office during the pandemic. Along with Clara Weeks, she was the co-chair of the Saugerties Senior Citizens Club 50-50 program. In her spare time she was an avid Yankee and Giant Fan. (Sorry JP)

Survivors include her daughter Teresina "Tere" Porto of Saugerties; her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Gramoglia; her nephew James "JP" Gramoglia and his wife Michelle; JP's and Michelle's children, who she considered her grandchildren, Anna and Michael Gramoglia; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Carmen Gramoglia.

A Procession will form 10:15 Monday, August 1, 2022, at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. in Saugerties and then proceed to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Glasco where an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow immediately in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery Mausoleum in Kingston. Friends may call Sunday 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
