Obituary

Michael Williams, age 63, died unexpectedly at his home in Charlotte N.C. on March 17, 2025. He was born on January 16,1962 in Kingston, NY to Roseann and Ralph Williams.

Raised in Saugerties, NY, Michael attended St. Mary of the Snow School and Saugerties High School graduating in 1980. He studied at Ulster County Comm. College, where he received his degree in Business Administration in 1982. From there, he attended SUNY of New Paltz, NY graduating in 1984 with a degree in Accounting, Taxation and Finance.

After graduating, Micheal moved to California where he landed jobs working for Technicolor Inc and FOX for over 20 years

In 2010 Michael underwent a bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with Leukemia. Despite all odds, and nothing short of a miracle, he beat cancer.
From California, life took him to N.C., where he landed a job with Wells Fargo Bank Head Quarters until his retirement in 2019

Michael had a soft spot for his fur babies, Sunny and Tigger. He spoiled them and his feral cat Boots, whom he housed and fed outside for 4 years.
He generously donated to many charities throughout his life and always gave back to St. Mary's Church in Saugerties.

Michael loved to cruise. He usually had a cruise booked every month. He loved traveling, seeing the world. and making new friends

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Williams, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Michael is survived by his mother, Roseann Williams, sister Teri (Williams) Hall and her husband Dan, and his niece Taylor Hall and nephew, Ryan Hall.

Michael will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and his giving spirit. His passing has left a huge void in the hearts of his family and friends. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who loved him
