Glasco – Michael A. Petramale died Friday, November 30, 2018 at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, Broadway Campus in Kingston. He was 81 years old.

He was born November 17, 1937 in Glasco, the son of Dominic and Mary Caputo Petramale. As a boy he enjoyed growing up near the river and spent his time swimming, ice skating and doing all the other activities associated with it. At age 13 he moved to the Chicago area and before returning to Glasco, he graduated from Proviso High School in Melrose Park, Il. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. On June 29, 1963 he married the former Joanne Turco.

Mike retired from the warehouse of IBM in Kingston and was previously employed by the Hudson Cement Company in East Kingston. A lifetime hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Glasco Gun Club. When the mini park was built along the river in Glasco, Mike returned to the area as often as possible to enjoy the river as he did in his youth. He also enjoyed tinkering around the house and traveling. An avid reader, he was often known to complete a book in single sitting.

In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by three daughters MaryJane Coughlin and her husband John of Saugerties, Patricia Bucklen and her husband Patrick of Irvine, CA, and Melissa Salmi and her husband Lance of Saugerties; six grandchildren Connor and Adelina Coughlin, Jackson, Alec, and Victoria Bucklen, and Michael Salmi; his brother-in-law, Gaetano Turco and Sister-in-law, Evva Carpino; and by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, MaryJane Petramale; his sister-in-law Patricia Turco and his brother-in-law, John Carpino.

A funeral procession will form 10:45 AM Monday, December 3, 2018 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church in Glasco where a 11:30 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Rev. Julian Guzman will officiate. Friends may call Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street, Saugerties. In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
