OBITUARY Saugerties – Michael Dennis Kopercinski died Monday October 13, 2013, at home. He was 66 years old. Born July 8, 1947 in Queens to his parents, Stanley and Josephine Ananicz Kopercinski, he began working at 5 years old at his uncle's business, Lefty's Butcher Shop in Queens. There he learned the butcher trade and upon graduation from high school he went to work at Food Fair of Queens. He served in the US Army from 1972 until 1975 and became a Specialist 4th Grade Electronic Repairman and an Expert Rifleman. Upon discharge he went to work as a butcher at Dan's Supreme in Queens. After more than 30 years of service, he retired and moved to Saugerties. Working with electronics and computers was lifelong passion and source of relaxation. Survivors include his wife, Philece Salierno Kopercinski; his son, Michael Rocco Kopercinski at home; his son Michael Victor and his wife Nathalie in Mohegan Lake, NY; his son Kevin Kopercinski in Queens: and two grandchildren, Stephen W. and Gabrielle E. Kopercinski. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert Kopercinski. Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties. Cremation will follow. Friends may call Wednesday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
