Saugerties, NY – Melissa L. Pilz died Thursday, June 2, 2022 in Vero Beach Florida. She was 39 years old.

Born October 23, 1982 in Kingston, she was the daughter of Kenneth Pilz and Waltraud Wood Pilz. She attended Saugerties High School and worked as a private care CNA.

Melissa enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts, including painting, creating with her Cricket and Stampin' Up. Cally and Lily, her pet cats were her passion, along with her car and the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Stephanie Pilz, and Mark Pilz and his life partner Casey Amodio; her aunt Katherine Kloss of West Camp with whom she had a very special relationship, and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
