Saugerties, NY ? Mary L. Mauro died Thursday August 2, 2012 at Kingston Hospital after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 87 years old. Born March 28, 1925 in Glasco, she was the daughter of Antonio and Mary Grano. A life long resident of Saugerties she worked as a hair stylist and cosmetologist from her home. She also worked as a seamstress for vaious local dress factories. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure in Lake Katrine. Mary was a loving daughter and very devoted to her family. Survivors include her son, Bruce A. Mauro of Saugerties; two grandchildren, David Mauro & his wife Casey and Allyson Barbaria & her husband Louis III all of Saugerties; four great-grandchildren, Louis IV, Marcello and Giorgio Barbaria and Addison Mauro; two siblings, Michael Spada and Antoinette Spada both of Saugerties; and by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her Sister, Rose Gallo; two brothers, Frank and John Spada; and her former husband, Frank M. Mauro. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Fr. Kearney of St. Catherine Laboure will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights in Saugerties, NY. Friends may call Monday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
