Saugerties – Marie Stella Mayer died Monday August 20, 2018 at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, Broadway Campus. She was 80 years old.

Born December 11, 1937 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Victor and Olga Seta Ferrante. On August 10, 1957 she married Louis Mayer who pre-deceased her on November 2, 2002.

Marie worked as a home health care aid. She was an avid sports fan particularly of Tennis which she would watch late into the night. She also followed closely, the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Hillje and her husband John Doreen Imbimbo and her husband Joe, both of Saugerties; her son Michael Mayer of Las Vegas; her granddaughter Gina Hillje of Saugerties; and her brother Victor "Kuttie" Ferrante and his wife Theresa of New Port Richie, Fl. In addition to her husband Louis, she was pre-deceased by her son Brian Mayer on October 23, 1987.

A Private Graveside service was held in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights, Saugerties, NY. Arrangements were under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc..
