Palenville, NY – Maria Mangiapanella died Saturday, December 21, 2024 in Westminster Maryland. She was 87 years old.


Born January 18, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lombardo and the late Rose Licausi Lombardo. She married Peter Mangiapanella at Saint Thomas the Apostle in West Hempstead, NY on July 31, 1960.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Peter and Tina (Port St. Lucie, FL), Andrew and Donna (East Islip, NY) and Diana Ranaudo (Westminster, MD); her grandchildren, Steven and Michelle, Michael and Sohha, Matthew and Jeff, Lauren, Andrea and Justin, Aislinn; her sister, Angela Connor, caring brother in law, and 2 caring sisters in law, and many beloved nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her loving son in law Michael Ranaudo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday, January 6, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Palenville. A private cremation will follow. Friends may call Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., in Saugerties, NY from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
