Port Ewen, NY – Margaret Cribbin died Saturday, March 28, 2015, after a long illness at the home of her son in Port Ewen. She was 73 years old.

Born April 30, 1941 in New York City, she was the daughter of Anthony and Margaret McGrath Cribbin. She held a Masters of Nursing and spent more than 40 years serving the community as a nurse.

She began her career as a nurse at Bellevue Hospital in NYC eventually becoming an ER Supervisor. She also worked as a supervisor at the Child Academy of Manhattan. In 1972 she moved to Saugerties and became a nursing supervisor at Kingston Hospital for 15 years. She worked for 10 years as a public health nurse and eventually retired as a midnight supervisor at the Ulster County Infirmary.

Survivors include her two sons, Timothy Halpin and his wife Tammy, and Kevin Halpin; seven grandchildren, Sean Halpin, Jessica Brooks, Michael Halpin, Ryan Halpin, Shane Halpin, Lorrae Dart and Carleesha Rowles; and three cousins Tina Lund, Sheila Krumenaker, and Geraldine Greges. She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Keira Halpin.

A funeral procession will form 8:45 am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street, Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph's Church in Kingston where a 10:00 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in Fairview Cemetery, Marbletown. Friends may call at Buono Funeral Service, Inc on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
