OBITUARY Saugerties ? Louise Sperl died Tuesday, January 23, 2012 at Tenbroeck Commons Nursing Home in Lake Katrine. She was 88 years old. Born June 28, 1923 in Saugerties, she was the daughter of George and Florence Hommell Davis. On September 21, 1946 she married Woodrow Sperl who pre-deceased her on July 11, 2003. Family, home and church were the centers of her life and many a good picnic was enjoyed by all at her home. Prior to raising her family, Louise worked at RCA on East Bridge Street and the Corner Bakery on Partition Street where she met her future husband of nearly 57 years. She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and a Life Member of the Centerville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Pedersen & her husband Bill; her son, Woodrow & his wife Gerry, all of Saugerties; her grandchildren, Jeannine Donah & her husband Keith, Lance Sperl & his wife Tiffany, Christian Pedersen & his wife Kerry, and Kari Pedersen; her great-grandchildren, Torri and Piper Sperl and Nathan and Kimberly Donah; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Alberta Hughes; brothers, Eugene, Foster, and George Davis; and her granddaughter Kim Anne Pedersen. Funeral services were private and under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Interment was in Blue Mt. Cemetery.
