Judith Pomeroy

Judith Pomeroy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 12, 1938, Judith later made her home in Upstate New York, where she spent the remainder of her years. She lived a life defined by love, laughter, and a deep, unwavering devotion to her family. A free spirit with a wonderful sense of humor, she could brighten any room with her smile. Above all, she loved with all her heart, and everyone fortunate enough to know her felt the warmth of her kindness and compassion.

Judith was a hardworking and creative woman who enjoyed many different careers throughout her life, eventually spending many years at the Village Diner in Saugerties, New York, where she worked until retiring in her late seventies. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and loved spending time exploring yard sales, secondhand stores, and thrift shops, always searching for a unique treasure. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply spending time together, Judith created memories that will be treasured for generations. She also cherished her beloved birds, Georgie and Paulie, who brought her years of happiness. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, generosity, and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Judith is survived by her children, Patricia Russo-Delgaizo, Maria Barbee and her husband Jimmy, Salvatore Russo and his wife Donna, John Russo and his wife Donna Marie, and Gregg Pomeroy and his wife Anni; her grandchildren, John, Michael, Dean, Anthony, Danielle, Jimmy, Kristina, John, Kristen, Joseph, Nicholas, Vincent, Kiera, Gregg, and Luke; her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Gianna, Tyler, Justin, Luca, Sophia, Kayleigh, Ryleigh, Abraham, Elliot, and Kaleb; and her sisters, Patricia Zangre and Lois D'Amico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sophia and Anthony William Oliveri; her brother, Anthony Oliveri; and her sister, Angela Ruggieri.

While our hearts are saddened by her passing, we are forever grateful for the years we shared with her. Her laughter, loving spirit, and devotion to her family will remain in our hearts forever.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Judith's love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
