Saugerties - Judith "Judy" Beckert died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was 66 years old.

Born November 1, 1957 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Elfreida Meier Geskie and the late Vincent Geskie. On May 19, 1979, she married Michael Beckert who pre-deceased her on June 3, 1999.

Judy had a life-long passion to do good in the world. Demonstrated through her work with the mentally disabled, the Diaz ambulance community, and her self-employment as a home health aide for the elderly. She enjoyed cooking, baking, Stamping Up card making, and spending time with her dogs.

Survivors include, her son, Michael and his wife Rizza of Amber, PA; her sister Veronica "Ronnie" Doyle and her husband Robert of Saugerties; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her brother, James Geskie.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., in Saugerties, NY. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, in Barclay Heights. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
