Town of Ulster- Joseph Reetz died suddenly on May 16, 2022. He was 55 years old.

Joe was born August 16, 1966, in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was the son of the late August Reetz and the late Mary Eileen Trimble. He was also predeceased by his brother Albert Reetz.

He was employed by United Health Care. Joe's favorite hobbies were fishing the Esopus and charter fishing out of New Jersey. He was also a HUGE sports fan; always rooting for the Atlanta Braves and the New England Patriots. Joe was an avid reader and poker player as well. He was also huge animal lover as well. Joe and his partner Darin rescued many animals over the past three decades. Joe was one of those once in a lifetime people you meet that is a friend to everyone, who would give his shirt off his back if you needed it. As Darin says, he was the finest man Darin had ever met.

Survivors include his life partner of 35 years, Darin Murray. He is also survived by his brothers Anthony (Tony) Reetz and Gerald (Jerry) Reetz. As well as his sisters Holly Trimble and Nancy Reetz.

He is survived by his nieces Renee Reetz, Audrey Reetz, Jessica Trimble, Hannah Trimble, Mary Trimble, and Ruth Trimble. He is also survived by his nephews Matthew Trimble, David Trimble, Nathan Trimble, and James Trimble.
