OBITUARY Saugerties ? Joan ?Lollie?Carney passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 . She was 73 years old. Born April 10, 1939 in Hamburg, NY she was the daughter of Fred and Josephine Costello Carney. She was employed by C&S Shoe Factory in Saugerties, where she spent most of her life, and Magee Carpet in Bloomsburg, PA. An avid bingo player she also participated in many of the social activities at the Mill on East Bridge St. where she lived until the end of her journey in life. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and crafts, particularly crocheting. Survivors include her four children, Darcy Affronti and her fiancé Roger Shultz of Catskill, William Whalen and his fiancée Wanda Woodard of Manchester VT, Lance Law and his wife Michelle of Ballston Lake, NY, and Melissa Beck and her husband Troy of Berwick, PA; seven grandchildren, Alecia, Ryan, Steven, Shania, Zachary, Chelsea, and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jayden, Landon, and Laiken; three sisters, Trudy Muller, Trish Moore and Jojo Carney; and four brothers, Terry, John and Fred Carney and Buster McKnight. Family and friends may call at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., 100 Main Street, Saugerties, NY. on Friday April 12, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
