Jill A. Robinson, 85, of Saugerties passed away at home on Saturday June 20, 2026. Born June 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Sr., and Anna Jean (Adams) Robinson.
Jill was always passionate about her work as a Virologist for NYS Department of Health at the Wadsworth Center. She was a wealth of knowledge concerning classical music from her early days as a student at Boston University where she spent many a Saturday attending Boston Symphony Orchestra performances. In later years, picnics at Tanglewood with family were a summer highlight. Jill loved history and knowledge in all forms, and could rapid fire answers to just about any Jeopardy question. Jill believed in helping others and supported many causes focused on a better world. She supported not only humanitarian organizations, but also, those that hold conservation and protection of the natural world and wildlife as essential. A little closer to home, she rescued kitties and was a life long member of the ASPCA. She was a loving and supportive aunt who made each birthday and holiday special. She was a grounding and enduring force for her family.
Jill is survived by her brother Douglas and her nieces and nephews: Tracey McCormick, Sean McCormick, Patricia McCormick, Amy McCormick, Lisa Horn, and Jennifer Steipp. Many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Nancy McCormick.
