Heather Marie O'Leary-Lacey was born on February 25, 1974, in Wheatridge, Colorado to her mother Linda O'Leary and father Gary O'Leary. In 1978 Heather and her family moved to Mt. Marion, NY. She attended Saugerties High School and graduated in 1993.

Heather was a stay-at-home mom, a licensed daycare provider from 1998 to 2011, and owner of "Happy Home Daycare." She often thought of herself as the neighborhood's "surrogate mother" as she'd cared for every child as her own. She was known for being selfless, caring, and giving.
Heather loved being a mom and Grammie (grandma) to her children and grandchildren. She looked forward to spending time with them and creating memorable moments. Daily trips to Dunkin Donuts with her girls and taking her grandchildren sleigh riding during the winter were some of the moments she most cherished. She was so excited to meet her newest grandchild.

Heather is pre-deceased by her grandparents Richard and Joan O'Leary of Mt. Marion and her father Gary O'Leary of Mt. Marion.

She is survived by her four children and husband Jensine Miller, Ashley Lacey, Alana Lacey, Aaron Lacey Jr, Aaron Lacey Sr. Her grandchildren Jaslyn Drake, Amri Babbs, Jaliyah Mesuda. Her significant partner Dean Frazer. Her mother Linda Mills, her sister Melissa O'Leary Gannon, and her brother Ryan O'Leary.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY.
