Saugerties – Gideon B. Ford, Sr. died at home surrounded by family on Sunday February 8, 2015. He was 58 years old.

Born December 16, 1956, in Saugerties, NY he was son of William and Nancy Ricketson Ford. He married the former, Brenda Yelle on August 24, 1985.

Gideon spent many years as a salesman for Maines Paper and Food in Binghamton, NY, but his real passion was driving trucks. He had a love for old cars and restored several. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family often serving as the designated driver for the evening.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Gideon Ford, Jr, Dominique Ford and Maneul Ford; four siblings, Anita Torgersen, Nancy Luther, William Ford III, and Rita Torgersen. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM WEdnesday, February 11, 2015 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Cremation will be private and interment will take place in the Spring. Friends may call Wednesday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
