Obituary
Saugerties – George R. Lombardo died Wednesday June 8, 2022 at home . He was 70 years old.

Born March 25, 1952 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Francis Lombardo and the late Lorraine Ottensman . On May 2, 1981 he married the former Sharon Johannesen. For more than 40 years, he worked as a plumber in the Woodstock area, first for Heckeroth and eventually for his own company, Catskill Mountain Plumbing.

Known for years as an excellent teacher, he trained many young plumbers who went on to that career. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and made furniture as a hobby. George loved his family and especially the time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Sharon, survivors include his children Kim Kelly and her husband John of Saugerties, Nick Lombardo and his wife Stacey of Napanoch, Justin Marino and his wife Jessica of Saugerties, Holly Lombardo of Mount Marion and Jeff Lombardo of Mount Marion; his grandchildren Erik Moshos, Georgiana Moshos and John Kelly V, Jesse Lombardo, Taylor Marino, Harper Marino, Cash Marino, Michael Sasso, and Chloe Lombardo; his siblings Charles Lombardo, Frank Lombardo, Delbert Ottensman, Nancy Fiscaletti, Diane Ford, Donna Dahl, Lorraine Ottensman, Jennifer Sicker, and Sandra McCutcheon and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties. Cremation will follow.
