Frederick John Lahl, age 80, of Saugerties, NY, died on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Kingston Hospital. He was born in Kingston, NY, to Loretta Thomas Lahl and Albert Charles Lahl. He was the youngest of three children and was predeceased by his brother Albert Lahl and sister Verna Longendyke. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1956 and served in the US Air Force from 1957-1962, working with the Strategic Air Command (SAC). He then worked for 38 years in the measurements laboratory at Ferroxcube/Philips Electronics, retiring in 2000. He was an intelligent, sensitive, loving father who enjoyed reading, building computers at home, and collecting model trains. He is survived by his children Suzanne Lahl and John Lahl, John's wife Loriann and their son Patrick Lahl, as well as niece Linda Smith and nephews Ken Longendyke and Dale Longendyke. Family, friends, and anyone who would like to pay their respects are welcome to visit Buono Funeral Service, 100 Main St, Saugerties, NY from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017 to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
