OBITUARY Saugerties, NY – Frank Ferracane died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck. He was 83 years old. Born April 22, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Sebastian and Maria Rosa Ferracane. On July 10, 1955 he married the former Betty Johnston. He retired from IBM after 34 years of service, was a US Army veteran and a life member of the Malden-West Camp Fire Co. He was also a former member of Saugerties Knights of Columbus, a former Cubmaster of Pack 37, a former chairman of the Saugerties Republican Party. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Michael Ferracane of Albany, Christopher Ferracane and his wife Lisa of Wake Forest, NC, Frank Ferracane of Saugerties, and Maria Jordan of Wenatchee, WA; three granddaughters Jordan, Lauren, and Kelsey; his brother-in-law- Nat LoVerso of Ardonia, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Bernadette LoVerso and his brother, Ignazio Ferracane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Centerville. Inurnment will follow in Blue Mountain Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY.
