OBITUARY Saugerties – Florence Myers passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012 at home surrounded by her family following a short illness. She was 86 years old. Florence was born March 7, 1925 in Richmond Hill, Queens, the daughter of Christopher and Ann Jordan Gamble. She exchanged vows with the love of her life, Anley Myers, Jr. on March 17, 1946. He pre-deceased her on July 8, 1995. After moving to Saugerties she became the loving mother of seven children. She is survived by her three daughters, Denise Myers Chaback of Woodstock, NY, Diane Myers of Krumville, Florence Glover of Saugerties; her four sons, Christopher Myers of Saugerties, Thomas Myers of Columbia, Missouri, Douglas Myers of Saugerties, and Grant Myers of Dunbarton, NH. "Nana" was an extraordinary lady to eleven grandchildren, spouses and sixteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Her sister, Marion Seiler, still lives in Richmond Hill, Queens. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, sewing and most of all spending time with loved ones. In her younger years she was a cub scout leader and member of girls community club. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY. Rev. Edward Schreiber, Pastor of Atonement Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
