Saugerties – Evelyn G. O'Rielley died Friday February 25, 2022 at Tenbroeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 83 years old.

Born June 14, 1938, in Gilboa, NY, she was the daughter of the late William H. Robert Proudman and the late Florence Sutton Proudman. On March 6, 1965, she married the Thomas P. O'Rielley, who pre-deceased her on November 8, 2007.

A graduate of Gilboa High School, she worked for MetLife in Kingston as a Supervisor in the records and tracing department. Her obsession in life was Chloe, her pet dog, whom she loved as intensely as any other member of her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Hamilton; her grandson, Nate Hamilton, whom she adored; and her sister Donna Petley; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her siblings, William Proudman, Jr., Edward Proudman, Elizabeth Oliver and Claudia Merwin

A funeral service will be held 6:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2022 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. in Saugerties, NY. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
