Obituary

OBITUARY Saugerties, NY ? Eleanor Naccarato died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at New York Presbyterian Hospital Millstein Heart Center in New York City. She was born May 8, 1926 in Glasco, NY, the daughter of Dionisio and Philomena ?Fannie? Ferraro Mauro. Mrs. Naccarato was a seamstress and sample maker for the Jonathan Logan Dress Company of New York. She co-owned Frank?s TV and Appliance and The Marian Shop in Saugerties for over 25 years, and the Deny?O Restaurant in Syracuse. A parishioner of St. Mary of the Snows in Saugerties, she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a long-time member and Past President of the Saugerties Columbiettes, where she was the coordinator of the Christmas Memorial Tree Committee and served a term as President of the Hudson Valley Chapter. She spent 14 years as Coordinator for the Columbiette?s State Convention skits. Devoting her life to worthy causes, she was a volunteer for the Glasco Firehouse, St. Mary?s, and the Knights of Columbus bingo, bazaars, and all aspects of volunteerism for these organizations. Survivors include her son Frank Naccarato and his wife Linda of Glasco; her daughter, Darlene Edwards and her husband Lewis of Saugerties; two granddaughters, Diondra Mazzella, and Dara Edwards DiPaola and her husband Domenic; two great-grandsons, Maximilian and Luca Mazzella; two sisters, Shirley Carpenter and her husband Robert, and Dolores Gruber; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Frank Mauro of Saugerties and Dionisio Mauro, Jr of Syracuse. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, and dedicating herself as a lifetime volunteer to those in need. A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Friday, June 25, 2010 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY, and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snows Church where at 10:00 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Rev. Christopher Berean, Pastor of St. Mary of the Snows will officiate. Interment will immediately follow in St. Mary of the Snows Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
