Saugerties, NY – Dorraine Morrison died Friday, September 29, 2023 at Home. She was 89 years old.

Born December 3, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late George Van Tassell and the late Lydia Baker. She was pre-deceased in 1992 by her husband William Edward Morrison, whom she married in 1951. For many years she worked in the restaurant business, most notably for Hanson's Tavern in Poughkeepsie as well as many other local establishments.

Dorraine was very active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening, her bird feeders and sea horse.

Survivors include her children, William Joseph Morrison on Milford OH, Bob Morrison of Hyde Park, NY, Roxanne Haggerty of Red Hook, NY, Michele Hingley and her husband James of Largo, FL, and George Morrison and his wife Terrie of Milford, OH; her grandchildren, William T. Haggerty III, Holly Grospitch, James Hingley, Tyler Keller, and Alexandra Morrison; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Ava, Owen, Olivia, Raegan and Frankie. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her siblings, Dolores Pratt, Anna Morrison, George Van Tassell and Leroy Van Tassell.

Cremation Services were private and under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. A memorial service is planned in the near future at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Mike Kraut Road, in Saugerties.
