Obituary
Kingston– Daniel "Danny" Van Loan died Friday April 19, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was 60 years old.


Born January 21, 1964 in Madrid, Spain, he was the son of Joan Dwyer Van Loan and the late Peter Van Loan. On May 12, 2001 he married his soul mate, the love of his life, Victoria "Vicki" Tarasco. In 2004 he retired from IBM.


His family meant the world to him. He enjoyed family vacations and get togethers. The way he best liked to spend an evening was watching TV and movies with his wife Vicki and their fur babies, Bailey and Maddie who held a special place in his heart. A diehard fan of the NY Mets and Miami Dolphins, he was an avid golfer who spent many days enjoying the greens with his buddies. Other past times included gardening, taking care of his lawn, and never forgetting to play his daily numbers. Danny was a considerate, kind hearted soul who would selflessly help anyone at anytime with no questions asked. Everyone admired his sense of humor and true love of life.


In addition to his loving wife Vicki, survivors include his siblings, Kellie Van Loan-Buono and her husband Patrick, Peter Van Loan and his wife Kelly, Joanne Flood and her husband Kevin; Sister-in-law Laura Tarasco; Brothers-in-law, CJ Tarasco and his partner Carolyn, Michael and his wife Vanessa: his nieces and nephews, Karlie, Jake and Sydney Flood, Elizabeth, Richard and Thomas Buono, Lucy and Hadley Fitzgerald-Van Loan, Aiden Kiernan, Joseph Camperlino, GiGi, Giacomo, and Lyla Tarasco; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his loving Goddaughter Cassidy Flood.


Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Friends may call Wednesday 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society online at www.nationalmssociety.org .
