OBITUARY Walden, NY – Cecelia A. Mills died Monday, February 17, 2014 at her home in Walden with her family. She was 78 years old. Born June, 19, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas Gallagher and Matilda Shelvin Gallagher. She retired from the Shawangunk Correctional Facility, where she worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years. She was a supporter of many charities including St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Spina Bifida and various veterans' organizations. She enjoyed watching crime dramas on television. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Mills of Walkill and Cecelia Mills of Walden; two sons, Thomas Mills of Epping, NH and Brian Mills of Walden; three sisters, Barbara Gallagher of Saugerties, NY, Mary O'Neil of Long Island, NY, and Catherine Loftus of Queens, NY; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and several niece and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son, Michael Mills in 1992. A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Friday, February 21, 2014 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. John the Evangelist Parish Center in Centerville, where a 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Cremation will follow at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
