Saugerties – Catherine B. "Sis" Dunn died, Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Tenbroeck Commons. She was 88 years old.

Born April 7, 1935 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Allen Costello and the late David Costello. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Joseph Dunn, in2009.

After 40 years she retired from Benedictine Hospital where she worked in the business office. Previously, she had worked as a bank teller. A longtime member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, she was also a member of the Saugerties Red Hatters. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Parish and all of her children attend St. Mary of the Snow Elementary School where she was a very active parent volunteer.

Survivors include her four children, John and his wife Brenda of Cleveland, TN, Dave and his wife MJ of Lake Katrine, Patrick and his wife Julie of Saugerties and Cathy of East Durham; ten grandchildren, Kelsey, JJ, Brendan, Kyle, Bailey, Mackenzie, Lindsay, Jessie, Caty and Mandy; and four great grandchildren Ayden, Mckinley, Brooke and Marley. In addition to her husband she was pre-deceased by three siblings David, Joseph and Betty.
