Saugerties – Becky Jo Cranston, 69, of Saugerties, NY died on Thursday May 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.

Becky was born in Davenport, IA on January 7, 1952 to Raldo (Bill) Syring and Lavonne (Stolte) Haman. Bill passed away when Becky was very young. Fortunately for Becky, her mother was remarried to George Haman who raised her as his own.

Becky was married to George (Joe) Williams and together they raised three beautiful daughters: Jennifer, Mary Beth and Cindy. As a family they made annual camping trips to Lake George, spent many days water skiing on the Hudson and downhill skiing in the winter. Becky was also very active in various sports such as softball and volleyball where she met many of her lifelong friends.

After 23 years, their marriage came to a close. Becky was lucky enough have a second chance at love and married Timothy Cranston and together with his beautiful daughter, Maren, they were able to bring two families together to become one. Becky enjoyed gardening, reading, and mostly spending time with her family, whether it be game night or dancing with her grandchildren. Becky retired as office manager for Dr. Steven Grossman, DDS after more than 30 years in the dental field.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents George and LaVonne Haman and her brother Anthony "Andy" Haman. In addition to her husband Timothy, she is survived by four daughters, Jennifer DeKoskie of Kingston, Mary Williams of Essex Junction, VT, Cindy Bishop and her husband Chris of Manchester, NH, and Maren Zinsmeyer of Haymarket, VA; 9 grandchildren, Jimmy, Lizzy, Alexandria, Melanie, Liam, Connor, Caitlyn, Timmy, and Jackson; four siblings, Jerry (Vel) Simmermaker, Debra (Mike) Woodhouse, George (Mary) Haman, Jr. and Theresa (Leo) Leinen; and sister-in-law Michelle Haman.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. A private cremation will follow. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Face covering will be required and social distancing will be enforced.
