OBITUARY Saugerties - Bartolo Giambona died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Kingston Hospital. He was 68 years old. Bartola was born August 4, 1944 in Palermo, Italy, the son of Francesco and Maria Giambona. On July 9, 1967 he married the former Marie Lucy Calcagno. For 25 years he was the proprietor of Village Inn Pizza in Cairo. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Frank and his wife Maryanne of Selkirk, NY and Anthony of Saugerties, NY; his granddaughter, Gianna Rose Giambona; and his brother Peter Giambona of Palermo, Italy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Michael Giambona, on October 9, 1990. A procession will form 9:15 Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. in Saugerties and then proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church in Glasco where a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in St, Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Friday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
