Barbara Marie Sasso, 72, of Glasco, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at Silver Lake Specialty Hospital in Newark.

Born December 7, 1952, in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Rosina Sasso of Glasco and the late Clarence J. Ressler of Mechanicsville, NY.

A graduate of both Saugerties High School Class of 1971 and Ulster County Community College Class of 1974 where she received an associate's degree in art, in her prime Barbara was an artist. Over the years, she was employed at many places, including IBM, Saugerties Central School District and McDonalds. A parishioner of St. Joseph's in Glasco, she was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society.

She loved animals and cherished friends and family, especially her Grandchildren. She loved being Aunt Barb, Grandma Barbara, a Godmother, and the second mom to people.

Survivors include her daughter Carmen Travis (Carl) and her grandchildren, Carl Travis, Jr., Wyatt Travis, Guillermo Travis, Daisy Travis of Glasco & Bianka Travis of Missouri. Barbara was predeceased by a daughter Rosina Echevarria, the love of her life William, and two brothers Bill Ressler and Cory Ressler.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated 8:00 pm, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Friends may call Friday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Cremation will follow and interment will be in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Saugerties Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
