Saugerties – Barbara J. Lombardo died Friday, November 19, 2021 at Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 86 years old.

Born July 23, 1935 in Queens, she was the daughter of the late John C. Lang and the late Charlotte Herps Lang. On September 26, 1959 she married Francis C. Lombardo who pre-deceased her on July 29, 2013.

A retired registered nurse, Barbara started her career at Bellevue Hospital in NYC, worked for many years in the pediatric ward in Benedictine Hospital and completed her career working in geriatrics in St. Augustine, Fla. "Nanny" or "Mom Mom" as she was known to her grandchildren, spent her entire life dedicated to her family.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer Sickler and her fiancé Perry of Bearsville, Sandra McCutcheon and her husband Charles of St. Augustine, Fl; her stepchildren, Charles Lombardo and his wife Eleanor of Saugerties, George Lombardo and his wife Sharon of Mt. Marion, and Francis Lombardo of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Gabrielle, Callan, Blake, Christopher, Corey, Ryan, Kimberly, Nicholas, Holly, and Jeffrey. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her brother Gerard Lang.
