Saugerties – Anthony "Tony" Fabiano, a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, entered into eternal life Saturday April 30, 2016 at HealthAlliance of Hudson Valley Broadway Campus. He was 88 years old.

Born December 24, 1927 in Glasco, NY, he was the son of Michael and Marietta Garitono Fabiano. On October 26, 1957 he married the former Amelia G. Mauro.

Tony retired after 30 years from Rotron in 1989. He spent his early years working on the family farm. He was a life member of the Glasco Fire Company. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of Lamouree-Hackett Post #72 American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Amy, survivors include three children, Louise Wilson (Steve) of Mauldin, SC, Maryann Schaffer (Don) of Glasco, and Philip Fabiano (Kelli) of Ladson, SC; Six grandchildren, Justin Fabiano, Brittaney Fabiano, Abbey Wilson, Marissa Schaffer, Anney Wilson and Zack Wilson; three brothers Michael Fabiano of Canaan, NY, Ernest Fabiano and Cosmo D. Fabiano both of Glasco; and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his son, Stephen; his sister Frances Martino; two brothers Frank and Joseph Fabiano; and by his niece Julie Martino.

A funeral procession will form 9:15 Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snow where a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with full military honors will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
