Rhinebeck – Anna Divo passed away on May 8, 2018 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY. She was the oldest of seven children, born in Mahanoy Plane, PA on October 28, 1915.
Anna was pre-deceased by her husband Michael Divo whom she married September 2, 1939, her parents Stephen and Margaret Robuck and five siblings including a twin sister.
She is survived by her sister Stella Kallos of Lake Katrine, NY; her daughters Margaret Miller and her husband Bruce of Boiceville, NY, Elizabeth Goldberg and her husband Philip of Kingston, NY and her son Michael Divo and his wife Stephanie of Ithaca, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
As a young girl Anna moved to NYC to work. She was later joined by her family and lived with her parents in the Bronx where she met her husband and started her family. The family moved to Eddyville, NY and then to Mount Marion. After her husband passed away, Anna resided at the Senior Residence in Saugerties, NY and was instrumental in bringing two of her sisters from NJ to live there also.
Anna took pride in and loved being with her family and took pleasure in playing the piano and knitting and crocheting. She delighted in making gifts for her family including baby blankets for her great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Archcare at Ferncliff Nursing Home who provided her with excellent care and support for the last sixteen years of her life.
A funeral procession will form 9:15 Monday, May 14, 2018 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snow Church where a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in Mountain View Cemetery in Saugerties. Friends may call Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
